“Education, Experience, Empathy"
After much research, I enrolled in Miami Dade Mortuary School, starting on my degree as a Funeral Director/Embalmer. What’s more, I also found a job at local family-owned funeral home as an apprentice - basically, doing whatever task that needed to be done - from the removal of a body, to washing the hearse.
This led to an industry internship after my schooling was completed; a great experience allowing learning and understanding the funeral industry from all aspects. With that experience as an intern, I knew to enable my continued growth and knowledge, I would likely need to work for the corporate-owned funeral homes. This training and experience proved invaluable as I began to understand the logistics behind running a funeral home. I was afforded a multitude of opportunities to interact with different families from different cultures and backgrounds, each with their own burial rites.
My love for the industry grew, as did my passion to succeed. As time passed, I was able to able to work and excel in different areas of the funeral home process: from apprentice, intern, admin, prep room manager/embalmer, funeral director, location manager, to general manager, and now a funerary industry owner myself.
I continue to be most comfortable meeting with families of the deceased, helping guide them through such uniquely difficult times. As many people may have never dealt with death, many simply don’t know where to begin, and are unsure about their funerary options.
It brings me such great joy, peace, and fulfillment to know I am that trusted person the family has chosen. Leveraging my experience and passion for my calling, it’s here I'm empowered to do whatever I can to provide peace-of-mind. I strive to ensure each family knows their loved one is in good care, and treated as if they are my own family.
My love for career has never waivered, even in the most difficult and uncertain times. Rather, as a business owner, I’m fully invested in being there to help and guide those when they need it the most - navigating what is surely one of the most difficult times in their life. It is my mission to help the families and the deceased be at peace.
